Terms of service
What this is
VET Builder is a tool that helps you build training and assessment material from a unit of competency. We licence the tool. We do not sell training material, we are not a registered training organisation, and we do not issue qualifications or statements of attainment.
The licence
A licence is held by an organisation, not a person. Your teachers use it as seats under that licence, up to the number of seats your plan includes. The licence runs month to month and you can cancel at any time from the Licence page; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
Who owns what
Your content is yours. Units you upload, packs you build, and anything your teachers write in the tool belong to your organisation. We store it so the tool works and so you can get it back; we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
The tool itself — the software, the document templates, the generators — stays ours. A licence lets you use it; it does not let you resell it or build a competing product from it.
Unit of competency text is © Commonwealth of Australia and is reproduced unchanged from training.gov.au under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives licence. It stays the Commonwealth's.
AI-generated material
Learning content and assessment items in this tool are drafted with AI assistance. They are a starting point, not a finished assessment tool. You must validate them — every export says so on its footer — and a qualified assessor in your organisation remains responsible for whether the material is valid, reliable, flexible and fair, and for meeting the Standards for RTOs. We do not warrant that anything the tool produces will satisfy an audit.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where liability can be limited, ours is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Getting your work out
You can export your packs as Word and PowerPoint files at any time while your licence is active. Do that before you cancel. Ask us and we will delete your organisation's data.
